Our Values
BELIEF
We believe in the supremacy of God and the authority of Scripture.
Sacrament
We celebrate together in Holy Communion, the body and blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and we actively participate in the traditions of the Church.
Prayer
We trust in the goodness and grace of God and put our confidence in the power of prayer.
Renewal
We desire hearts that are touched and changed by the Holy Spirit, enabled to do works of service and to love our neighbors.
Mission
We worship God, believe Jesus is our resurrected lord and savior, share our faith, and serve generously.
Ask an Anglican what they believe, and they will tell you how they pray. Our worship is not a performance or tradition for its own sake—it is the living response of God’s people to a living God. We honor and thank Him as our highest calling.
Our God is living, not some vague or abstract idea. We believe in the Holy Trinity, as revealed in Holy Scripture—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The second Person of the Trinity, Jesus Christ, was truly God and truly man, and came in the flesh for the redemption of the world. This is not metaphor or myth, but the core truth we confess in the historic Creeds of the Church.
Because of who God is and what He has done, we are compelled to share our faith and to serve others generously. These are our humble responses to God’s overwhelming grace—ways we reflect His love to our neighbors. At St. Charles, we hold firmly that discipleship is not only about learning more but living more: not just attending more Bible studies (though we love the Word), but stepping outside the church walls to serve and bless the world.
We believe God is at work in our community—and we have the joy of joining Him!
Vision
In early 2025, our leadership gathered in prayer to seek God’s direction for St. Charles. We sensed a shared calling: to become a church where people are encouraged to draw closer to God—and to one another. Through this mutual encouragement, we hope to build one another up in faith, hope, and love.
Whether you’ve followed Jesus for decades or are unsure what you believe, we want to walk with you.
As we grow in discipleship, we believe the Lord is calling us to serve our neighbors, foster belonging, equipe new leaders, invest in mentorship, and send out people to share the good news!
This is not just our plan—it’s our prayer. We want to be a church shaped by God’s Word, formed in worship, and sent into the world with purpose.
We embrace discipleship, which naturally leads to flourishing. Inner renewal is the key to effectively loving one another, as John wisely wrote, “If you love one another, everyone will know you are my disciples.” (NIRV) Our vision will manifest in tangible outcomes, evident through the following:
Cultivating a yearning to feed and serve our neighbors.
Fostering a sense of true belonging within our community.
Equipping new generations with passion and conviction to carry forward Christ’s missions.
Growing through authentic Christ-centered mentorship.
Sending forth bold ambassadors of the Kingdom into the world.
